FaceBook Safety for You and your Kids

Here are some safety measure to follow when using Social Networking Sites especially the most popular of all FaceBook.
  • Avoid being too specific with the information you post or share online (do not give details of your whereabouts, do not post your birthday or contact numbers, etc).
  • Avoid posting solo pictures of you child. If possible, post only group photos.
  • Avoid directly tagging your child's face online. Randomly tag something else to shroud your child's face from stranger's online. People who know you child will already recognize him.
  • Need to discuss something sensitive? Avoid posting a message on someone;s wall. Use private messaging instead.
  • Set your privacy settings so that only those close to you or the people you know can view your profile pictures, activity stream, and wall posting.
  • Avoid being too 'real time' when it comes to posting items on your profile. Try to delay them for at least an hour to avoid being pinpointed.

Reminiscing Sta. Ana Parish

Troys daughter Mica is having her baptism at Sta. Ana Parish. I cant help but remembering the wonderful memories this church brings since this is where me and my wife was wed. We chose this church since its beautiful, looking at it is just too solemn. One of the church personnel even told me that this church has the most couples wed in all the churches here in Davao, and one reason is that it has a very long passage from the exit going to the altar, which gives the bride all the time in the world to stroll going to the altar, letting the bride showcase their fabulous gown hehehehe. And also its not to hot because the ceiling is very high. If you live here in Davao and your a catholic, choose Sta. Ana Church.

A Salute to Parents

It is often said that in the stages of life, we are least prepared to become parents. Yet this is probably the most important role we will play, even long after all other roles have come and gone.

Parenting can make or break a person.. a testing ground for character and values, choices and decisions. Some say that parenting is one of life's great tests. Though some may be given an easier questionnaire, others a more difficult one, still the call to parenting can challenge our inner strength, belief in oneself and even our capacity to love.

But, it is when we respond to this call with passion and dedication, heart and soul that we achieve the personal triumphs and quiet rewards that make this sacred mission worth pursuing and living for.
