Weekend Stroll with Keona

This past week has been really great for the family. My brother who came over from Singapore treat us with a sumptuous dinner at the Abreeza mall. My little girl had a blast since she loves strolling very much and of course, we also love eating. Grandpa suggested that we eat at Hukad restaurant, one of the family's favorite lately because they serve really yummy foods although a little pricey, but it's worth the money you spend. Keona loves crispy pata very much and she likes mango juice as a drink.

After eating, we usually go for a stroll in the mall. Keona loves to go for a ride in the atrium. There is a little playground there where kids can play around. When Keona gets bored in the play ground, we let her ride her favorite animal character for around 3 minutes for just $ .25. She could ride it six times and she herself would manipulate the steering wheel.

Aside from those rides, we go to the different boutiques and stores and look around if there are something interesting. What I love about malling is the opportunity of getting around and seeing people of different walks of life. I get to bump some friends and also get to see different people of different hairstyles and fashion styles, some pretty and elegant while others also looks weird and plain trying hard. When we leave for home and went to the parking lot, I saw a car that has an Anti Obama bumper stickers on it. It caught my attention because that's the first time I saw that kind of sticker. Looks cute though:).

Popcorn loving little Girl at Abreeza Mall Davao

Grandma and grandpa took Keona to have a snack at Abreeza mall. Me and wifey was already set to leave office when they called us to meet them there. When we arrive Keona was busy eating popcorn, she loving the popcorn she didn't even notice we're already right beside her. Here are photos of her eating popcorn.

Keona Watching the Fountain at Abreeza Mall Davao City

Keona really got curios when Abreeza Mall turned on its fountain, we had trouble convincing her to go, because she wanted to stay longer and watch in marvel as the color of the fountain changes. It was still a joy to watch her curiosity.

The Jollibee Stuff Toy

Wow, kids really love Jolibee, even Keona, she would always request us whenever we're at the mall to visit jollibee. I don't know what's with that bee that is just so magnetic to kids. Is it jollibee's wide smile, the attractive red and yellow color combination? Is it the constant ads at the television? Whatever their secret is, Jollibee is a hit to kids.

And now here comes the Jollibee stuff toy, well its not just Jollibee but all of his friends like Twirlie, Popo, Hetty etc. Just this week, when we were at the Gaisano Mall, Keona was just playing with the rides at the ground floor when she suddenly yelled out "Jollibee" me and my wife was wondering why is she yelling Jollibee and pointing to a kid, when we looked closer the kid is holding, YUP you got it right a Jollibee stuff toy, Keona was just to eager to want to have the kids toy that we decided to buy her a Jollibee stuff toy, I think the price was 270 or 290 pesos, plus you must order a value meal to be eligible to buy it. OMG hahahaha but still if Keona is happy it okey with us. Here are some photos of that toy.

A Day At The Pool

My Papa's birthday is on May 24, 2010. Papa decided to celebrate it earlier, that is on Sunday May 23, 2010, so we went to a beach resort near our village, since it only takes about 5 minutes to get there. Although the beach in that resort is not that nice. What we were after is their swimming pool. Since Keona really likes to go to the pool. Keona really was all excited and happy to go to the pool. I hope we can go back there again.

Jolibee to the rescue

I had a bad experience at Pizza Hut at Gaisano Mall Davao last Saturday, I'm not gonna talk about it here since i already posted it on my other blog, Raynan's World. So because of that i was already not in the mood. But at least because Keona was there so my temper didn't flare up, Because i don't want Keona seeing me get mad during that day and also because were celebrating Lady's birthday. Then while i was walking Keona, there was suddenly a commotion near Pizza Hut. It was on the Jolibee fast food. It was Jolibee himself. So i called my wife to carry Keona and have a picture of them with Jolibee. Seeing them happy and Keona calling Jolibee "ibee". Was such a fun moment that i forgot about the Pizza Hut situation. Thanks Jolibee hehehehe.

Reminiscing Sta. Ana Parish

Troys daughter Mica is having her baptism at Sta. Ana Parish. I cant help but remembering the wonderful memories this church brings since this is where me and my wife was wed. We chose this church since its beautiful, looking at it is just too solemn. One of the church personnel even told me that this church has the most couples wed in all the churches here in Davao, and one reason is that it has a very long passage from the exit going to the altar, which gives the bride all the time in the world to stroll going to the altar, letting the bride showcase their fabulous gown hehehehe. And also its not to hot because the ceiling is very high. If you live here in Davao and your a catholic, choose Sta. Ana Church.
