Reminiscing Sta. Ana Parish
Troys daughter Mica is having her baptism at Sta. Ana Parish. I cant help but remembering the wonderful memories this church brings since this is where me and my wife was wed. We chose this church since its beautiful, looking at it is just too solemn. One of the church personnel even told me that this church has the most couples wed in all the churches here in Davao, and one reason is that it has a very long passage from the exit going to the altar, which gives the bride all the time in the world to stroll going to the altar, letting the bride showcase their fabulous gown hehehehe. And also its not to hot because the ceiling is very high. If you live here in Davao and your a catholic, choose Sta. Ana Church.

A Nice Website for Baby Gifts
Here is a great website for all you parents out there. Having problems finding the right gift for your baby or for your brother/sister's baby? Worry no more, this site is for you. What's great about this site is that, it is run by mommies, what better way to run a baby gifts site by mommies who have experiences and expertise on these things.
Parents like us who work 8 to 10 hours a day have little time to shop around malls. Since the age of electronics, what better way to find great gifts without having to sacrifice your working time or having to leave home is by buying it through online.

3 tips you can to do check your childs eyesight
Although going to a doctor is the best choice for this, but there are also some ways that you can check to determine if your child has a problem with their eyesight.
1. CAMERA TRICK. Take a good look at a photo of your child. The flash of the camera should reflect in your child's eye. If this does not fall on the same spot in both eyes, there's a possibility your child's eye are misaligned. Also if you're checking for red eye in photos, both eyes must show the same color. If one of his eyes has a different color, then it would be best to consult your ophthalmologist.
2. FLASH OF LIGHT. Shine a flashlight on your child's eye. The reflex should also fall on the same spot on both eyes. If the spots are not in a similar location, then misalignment is possible.
3. PATCH ME UP. Cover on of your child's eye and ask him to focus on an object. After a while, move the patch to his other eye. If the other eyes moves while one is patched, then your child might have a problem with focusing.

Keona's Playmate
Since Keona is only a year and 3 months old, she still doesn't have a playmate of her age. So her only playmate is all of us living at the house or the cute and cuddly toys she has.
She has a total of 10 toys, and some of that are her favorite.
From the back side starting from the left is Pooh(Pillow Pooh), Cow(Dancing Cow, battery operated),Hello Kitty. On the middle line is Oxie( well they call the toy oxie, although it is a cow), Pooh( Again but this time its not the pillow type), Mirmo (from the anime series Mirmo de pon). Front row includes red and green( they were called that way by my mom cause of their color, cause we are not sure if its a bear or a koala or something), Rabbit ( a hand puppet), and lastly Leo (Lion).
Of the ten Keona's favorite as of now is Cow (she call it tow or taw) she likes cow cause it dances to the tune of Stupid Cupid and when the cow started to dance Keona also dances and stomps her feet and screams hahahaha. Her past favorite before Cow was Oxie and Rabbit.

My Memorable Summer Vacation
Summer is nearing , and I can't wait to have our yearly vacation. I'm working in a school and classes will end this March, so we'll start our vacation after that. I can still remember my last summer vacation and it was a blast. We went to Bohol, and my main target was to see the Tarsier, beaches and the famous Chocolate Hills. We planned for that vacation for several months. We took a bus to Cagayan de Oro City, and from there, we then boarded a ship straight to Bohol. It was a hot sunny day when we arrived in Bohol, and then we took another ride straight to our hotel.
We started our tour the following day. We first visited some of their old churches, and they have plenty of it. One that I can't forget is the Baclayon church, the oldest coral stone church in Visayas and Mindanao. After the churches we then visited the Tarsier, they are such cute little creatures (but smelly). Tarsier handlers and caretakers warned us not to use flash on our camera because it will damage their eyesight and eventually they'll die. Don't know if it's true or not but we followed their restrictions because were good tourist, hahahaha. The next day we went to the famous Chocolate Hills. Going up the steps to the viewing pad was a breath taker (I almost lost my breath cause its too high). Upon reaching the top we then watch the beautiful and exhilarating Chocolate Hills, though its not that chocolaty to look at, but the view at the top was really nice.
The last day of our tour was spent on buying gifts and souvenir items. Although we already set aside money for the trip, we didn't anticipate that we spend too much for the souvenirs. Since we brought cash and our ATM card, we went beyond our budget and keep on withdrawing at the ATM machine. Lots of souvenir items were too beautiful to resist.
It was after the vacation we felt the burden of spending too much that we lived several months on a tight budget to recover from it. It would have been nice if we had a prepaid credit card at that time so we can control our spending. I think I'll use that on our next vacation which will be in Camiguin Island.

Post Delivery Facts
For soon to be mothers out there. Here's one article just for you:
1. Take a bath after delivery. Old wives tales would tell you not to do so, but being clean before you handle your baby is a must.
2. Whether you go through a normal or C- section delivery, you will experience bleeding six weeks after delivery. called lochia, this will gradually disappear over time. Maternity pads are a must during your two weeks after birth. Panty shields will do as the bleeding subsides.
3. It takes three weeks for the vagina to heal, and you will experience swelling after the first week of delivery. When cleaning yourself, opt for liquid soap for ease of use. Lukewarm water will also help in reducing the swelling.
4. An old wives tales no more: According to the Department of Health, bayabas leaves contain natural anti bacterial properties. The water used to boil the leaves may be used to wash the vaginal area.
5. Loose clothing will help, in providing comfort during the first week after delivery. The material of your undergarments should be cotton. Make sure they aren't too tight.
6. It might be tempting to do so, but using alcohol on your sutures os a definite no. It might provide a cool, refreshing feeling, but alcohol can actually lessen the strength of your stitches, causing a broken wound.
