Public transport, Youth, People, Generations and Age Groups, Pedestrian Crossing, Traffic Light, Parenting

Children should be with and under the supervision if parents when taking public transportation. Children should follow important safety tips when crossing roads and using public transportation. Teach your kids to remember the following when out on the street.

  1. Do not cross the street alone (for kids 10 years and below).
  2. Look both ways before crossing the street.
  3. Use the sidewalk. If there are no sidewalks, walk facing the road traffic.
  4. Always walk in groups.
  5. Pay attention to signals indicating a car will be moving, which includes rear lights that are on, exhaust smoke, and engine sounds.
